SATURDAY FLASHBACK: First off, I’m sorry to say this week’s update is postponed to next week. I try not to deviate from my biweekly schedule, but I couldn’t carve out the time I needed to write what I planned to this week. On the plus side, that means you get an extra flashback!

This week’s archive binge is ruler-busters—stories about guys who are 13 or 14 inches. That could be the measurement hard, or soft, naturally or as a result of growth. Like a lot of Americans, one of the things I associate with Thanksgiving is football.
