Saturday Flashback: March 2013

A look back this week at what I was posting seven years back. Funny, I used to think of the “before times” as anything before the shock of November 8, 2016; now, of course, “before” is six weeks ago. But I can remember working on the site in 2013, and I remember these stories and others I wrote and posted around that time. It’s a good memory. I’ve put a lot of love into this site and into the stories I write, and nothing’s going to change that.

Speaking of the archives, last week we passed 1500 stories live on the site. That’s a pretty hefty preserve of alternative smut.

Next update is 4 March. Until then, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

This week’s stuff:

  • The adventures of Corey Harddwick by BRKXArm XLimb  A screen actor’s try at a big stage role was already weird, before the moment where he discovered he was exceptionally well armed for the role.
  • Brent and Jax by BRKCGrow Cock HyCock XCock Retcon Sugg  Jax comes back from vacation extremely jazzed about something that happened to him, leading to a very strange conversation with his buddy Brent about how all the guys on campus seem to be changing lately.
  • Hey by BRKXArm XCock XLimb  That book of spells sure has a lot of funny words in it.
  • Above average by ZielCGrow Cock HyCock Cum HMusc MGrow Musc Retcon  Alan starts out as just your average college boy. Then a strange, magical artifact comes into his life, and he starts becoming bigger—almost remembering the ways things were, when his muscles and cock weren’t, with each orgasm, more and more above average. As the effects spread, Alan knows he must understand what’s happing to him and his friends—and also that he must be the biggest, most muscular, most hypercocked stud of all.
  • The body spray by CoalthFur Hair Grad Cock MGrow Musc  Bodybuilder Kevin, needing a little armpit spray, spots a strange brand of deodorant in the gym vending machine and decides to give it a try.
  • Bulking by ProteusMGrow Gut Musc  Sometimes, when people have a crush on their hunky roommate, they act on it by secretly trying to make the guy progressively hotter.
  • The G by Braun1Cock Hypno MGrow Musc  Working at the gym in a small town you get to admire the local muscle on the sly. But when someone comes along who’s muscled to the point of being inhuman, all bets are off.
  • Geno-type, Part 8 by ZielCGrow Cock HyCock Infect  Jake and Tyler are enjoying the hell out each other and their massive equipment, totally unaware that someone else might be enjoying the sight of them together as well.
  • Medicine show, Part 151 by Fafhrd and Longbow9Bi CGrow Virgin Het Cock HyCock Infect Self Series  Mahmout feels the effects of what’s happening to his junk. He tries to get somewhere safe but ends up giving Kevin an unexpected eyeful.
  • A new coffee by LinkinMGrow Musc Grow  Jake comes home to the sight of Mike’s amazing transformation. Mike wants the same thing for Jake, but then gets more than he bargained for.
  • Raiders basketball by VanderAnderBi Het Cock Self  Trying out for the school basketball team involves more than being really good at basketball.
  • The ski trip by Allan CedarXArm XCock XLimb Twins  A group of multilimb guys get to know each other better in a secluded ski cabin.
  • Spice, Part 43 by Mr. X and Mad DogCGrow Dad Hair Grad Cock Scent MGrow Musc Grow  The morning after the competition, Phil wakes up feeling heavier. He is. Even without the extra muscle, though, Peter is already seeing him in a new light.

Saturday Flashback: Celebrity Status

This week’s archive binge collects stories where the rich and famous get caught up in meta-man transformations. Some are famous already, others become famous thanks to their new physique and amped up magnetism, but all of them get to deal with the extra problems of experiencing hot masculine upgrades right there in the public eye. (Ew, maybe not right in the eye. And now I’m picturing Miss Coco Peru leaning forward and sneering, “It burrrns…”)

The next update is 21 March and will be all vignettes inspired by Patreon requests. If you’re a patron in one of the suggestion tiers, make sure to message me with what you’d like to see depicted in a one-scene ministory! In the meantime, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

Saturday Flashback: Cleaning the Code

I finally had some time to deal with some site issues I had backlogged for the last six months while I was dealing with that IRL project I turned in in January (on top of my day job and my night job). There’s still more to do, including extending the stylesheet upgrade currently in use on the cover and story pages to the other pages on the site. I’ll be working on that kind of thing off and on over the next few months and more intensely during the summer.

Embedded images. Some of the story-embedded images weren’t meshing with the new story page design. That is now fixed, and the image insert code is now standardized (I have an Excel and everything). There aren’t many of them: for the record, the stories with relevant embedded images are “Alpha product series”“Big changes”“Feet up”“Mega pecs maker dosing accident”“Mega-tit wrestler freaks”“Morphed male bulge freaks”“Muscle milk tit freaks”“The suitcase”“Thoros”; and “X-mass”. — Dark mode. Right now in a preliminary state on story pages only. I’ve added a button underneath the story header info to switch on dark mode, but it’s just for that page. Soon I’ll add persistence both for dark mode and for the text size up/down buttons next to it. — Garbled HTML coding. There were a few old stories that had had their HTML ampersand codes messed up, so you were seeing things like < and so on in the text. I believe those are now all resolved. If you see anything miscoded like that, please let me know. — Tag suggestions. Yes, I let the tag suggestions pile up even though I said I wouldn’t. They’ve all been reviewed and the ones I agreed with added, so we’re up to date. I do actively urge you to make tag suggestions to fill in missing tags or question existing tags on individual stories, and I fully intend to keep up with them going forward. If you suggest a new tag, I’d love suggestion submissions on other stories that you think also merit that tag.

To keep with the theme, this week’s archive binge includes stories that involve characters engaged in software and website coding. The next update is 22 February, and in the meantime thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

Saturday Flashback: Smoochies

The deadline for that IRL writing project that’s been disrupting my schedule the last couple months was Friday. Good news: it’s over, bad news: I didn’t have time to write a word of smut this week. So one last postponement, and next time you’ll definitely get a double-helping from me… plus all the great stuff from the site’s contributors that I’ve got backed up in my in-box. In the meantime: guys smooching! I’ve tossed together some of the highest concentrations of making out, snogging, and just plain kissing on the site. Can’t hate that, right?

Next update is 1 February. Until then, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

Saturday Flashback: January 2013

It’s the future, and we don’t have flying cars—but we do have archives of chasm-filling proportions. For this week’s retrospective I’m going back to January 2013, when Apple Maps was a joke, the base-breaking royal was the Duchess of Cambridge, and Oprah got Lance Armstrong to come clean about being dirty. There’s a lot of interesting stuff from back then—including a weird plotline coincidence about wizards, kings, and royal conspiracies. Take a look through stories you might not know or maybe forgot.

Next update is 25 January. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

Saturday Flashback: XXXmas

As announced on Twitter, I ended up with a load of extra shifts this week at one of my jobs, and that plus the exam week workload at my other job means no time for me to BRK, much to my chagrin and personal disappointment. Consequently the update scheduled for today is postponed one week to 28 December. I wish it weren’t so, and I do apologize. In the meantime, I’m posting an extra flashback of holiday-themed sexy. Tune in next week the update as planned, and in the meantime thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

Saturday Flashback: International Affairs

Most of the stories I write are set by default in my home country, the United States, and many of the stories submitted to Metabods are situated here as well, though that’s been less and less predictably the case over the years. (I should do one of those maps by IP address and see where all the site visitors are coming from.) In the wake of the very American Thanksgiving holiday we just celebrated here, I thought I’d make today’s archive binge a selection of stories where the action isn’t automatically taking place in the land of baseball, apple pie, and Manifest Destiny. It doesn’t hurt that we Americans, parochial as we often are, tend to lust after the exotic, making the men of foreign climes potentially extra-special in all the ways Metabods loves to celebrate.

Stars or thumbs: The final results of the stars or thumbs Twitter poll were 2 to 1 for switching from stars to a thumbs up, with 71 votes cast. The tally on the Patreon poll was 7 to 1 for thumbs-up voting, with 16 votes cast. There were also some interesting comments going both ways, and some useful suggestions. I’m taking this as it being reasonable for me to go ahead and do this if I choose to, but there are flaws in both approaches that I’m aware of and that I’ll need to consider before proceeding. Thank you very much to everyone who voted—as always I truly appreciate the feedback on the site.

Future updates: Special, heartfelt thanks to my Patreon supporters, who help make writing possible. The next update is 7 December. Fellow authors! The update after that is on the 21st, just before Christmas (I checked!), so if you’re mulling any holly-and-misteltoe shenanigans of your own I’d love to include them then along with my own holiday contributions. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.
