Duncan sat in front of the computer in the at-home office he’d built for himself in the basement of the home he rented with his roommate. Holding his tattooed arms up with his fingers pressed into his temples, closing his eyes as he heard blaring synth pop music and raucous laughter and chatter coming from upstairs. He’d known his roommate Cody was throwing a party tonight, but he just wasn’t feeling sociable today, so he made up the lie that he had to work late tonight, but he started feeling a headache suddenly come on. It’s not the first time Cody’s thrown a party and he’s made up a lie to avoid it when he wasn’t feeling up to being near people, but this headache he got from the thumping loud noises was a first. It felt so strange and intense.
“God, Cody. Is it louder than usual tonight?” Duncan muttered to himself as he stood up and walked over to look in the mirror, his bare feet making heavy plodding noises with each step on the clean linoleum flooring he’d installed. Looking at himself in the mirror, Duncan blinked a few times as his headache throbbed. He’d always been a bit toned, but never anything really defined. Standing in the mirror wearing just his black boxers, he cracked his tattooed knuckles and looked at the assortment of tattoos that crawled up both of his arms and over his somewhat muscled chest while a smile formed on his face as he remembered the horrified look on his overly strict father’s face when he came home with his first tattoo at sixteen. He loved to rebel against his father as a kid and once he moved out at eighteen, the amass of ink started to consume the pale white skin up his arms and chest. He hoped with each needle that colored his skin, another knife was stabbed into his father’s heart.
Looking at his body in the mirror, he gave himself a cheeky bicep flex. The definition was clear, but the size wasn’t anything to cheer about. Sure, he was comfortable in his own skin, but Duncan always wondered how he’d look if he had the time and dedication to the gym to reach the size of bodybuilders. Just to look huge and swollen, even down to the insanely massive bulge straining the fabric of his boxers, but it just wasn’t meant to be. He was just average in all aspects of his body from head to toe.
He rolled his eyes playfully as he brought his arm back to his side. “I don’t know what I expected,” he said to himself as he turned around and walked toward the steps to head up to the kitchen. Before heading back to work, he figured he’d just take whatever headache relief medicine they had lying around in the kitchen and wash it down with a cold soda from the fridge.
Quickly ascending, his feet made more plodding sounds up the wooden stairs that led into the kitchen. He didn’t think twice about coming up wearing just his boxers since Cody always made sure the kitchen itself was off-limits during parties. As he walked up the steps, he spotted a petite blonde woman sitting down in a chair at the kitchen table. At first, Duncan was embarrassed and covered himself with a hat he pulled off the coatrack, but hung it back up once he realized who the woman was. With the long blonde hair and green sweater, this woman was Cody’s college friend named Dawn. She’s been over quite a few times and Duncan had grown familiar with her, so she’d become used to seeing both men wearing next to nothing.
Acknowledging her presence, Duncan gave her a polite greeting as he moved to the fridge after opening a bottle of ibuprofen and taking a few pills, opening it and pulling out a can of soda. “Hey, Dawn. Need a minute from all the loud noise?”
Dawn was a bit startled seeing Duncan, believing herself to be alone in the kitchen, but she recomposed herself and gave him a warm greeting. “Oh, greetings, Duncan. Yeah, I just needed a break. All the loud noises were taxing my social meter and I just needed a break. I’m sure Cody understands. So, ‘working late’ again, I’m assuming?”
Duncan gave her a shrug. “Hey, I like having Cody as a roommate, he’s a good guy and all, but the constant parties wear me out.”
Dawn gave him a friendly smile. “Another headache, I presume?”
He rolled his eyes as he responded, “Yeah, but this one feels different. I’ve never had one this bad before. This is like a migraine but somehow worse.”
Dawn stood up and moved over to Duncan, putting the back of her pale palm on his forehead. “You’re burning up. You must be coming down with something. There’s a new virus going around that we’re testing at the lab. It starts off with really strong headaches and then starts affecting muscle and nerve tissues. We haven’t really figured out what its long-term effects are, just that it makes the infected put on a bit of weight depending on the case. Just be sure to take care of yourself and if I figure out more about this illness, I’ll be in touch.”
Duncan just gave her a nod and headed back down the stairs to his office in the basement. He liked Dawn. She was a kindred spirits of sorts, and if he weren’t gay, perhaps they could have a long life together as a husband and wife based on just how compatible they were. As he reflected on Dawn’s warning, he noticed that his footsteps on the stairs seemed a little heavier than before. This must be the sickness Dawn was warning him about. He must’ve gotten a bit heavier than he’d noticed while in the mirror earlier. It must not have been enough to warrant noticing a change. The feeling was more obvious to him as with each step, the sound of his feet hitting the wooden stairs became louder and his toes seemed to hang off the edges of each step.
Taking a sip of his soda, he sat the can on his desk as he walked around it to get to his office chair. Stopping at the mirror again, he felt the need to stretch as he reached his arms up and released a yawn. Whatever this new illness was, it must make the sick feel tired. As he repositioned himself, he stared at his bulge, convinced that it looked bigger than when he had just looked a few minutes ago. He then shook off the feeling, after all, he was twenty-five, his cock wasn’t going to grow any bigger than the seven and a half inches he’d already gotten. His eyes moved up to his chest, his pecs obviously more swollen than before.
He felt no shock as he caressed his bigger pecs at their new size. Dawn was right, whatever this new sickness was, it was affecting his weight already. He found the skin more sensitive, moaning as his tattooed fingers fondled the skin of his pumped up chest and his nipples instinctively hardened at the euphoric sensation. He felt beads of sweat form on his forehead, so he instinctively wiped it and his fingers brushed against his wavy black hair that reached down to his shoulders.
Shrugging off the changes to his chest, Duncan sat down in his office chair and began typing again, occasionally taking sips from his can of cola, ignoring his headache the best he could as he worked.

Typing away at his keyboard, Duncan noticed an odd, yet familiar smell. It was the scent he gave off when he got sweaty at the gym. A deep masculine, musky scent wafted from his body into the air. Truth be told, Duncan always liked the scent because he envisioned that’s what all the sexy bodybuilders smelled like, so when he was ripe and musky, he felt proud and his cock stirred a bit every time. Now was no exception. Within his boxers, Duncan’s seven-and-a-half-inch rod began to flare to life, but this feeling was new. He was hard, but felt like it was just a semi. As if he could grow even harder.
His scent continued to waft over the basement and more powerful, starting to distract Duncan as he attempted to work. After typing a few keys, he started to sniff around. Lifting his arms, the musky smell only grew stronger as his hairy armpits got aired out. “It must be hotter in here than I thought,” he said to himself as he went to wipe sweat from his brows, but was a bit surprised to find that there was none. “Must be this flu,” he rationalized to himself, thinking that his sickness made his body temperature rise to explain the smell. That deeply intoxicating smell. God, this smell was just so… inviting. Putting his nose to his armpit, Duncan took a deep whiff of his own alluring musk. A smirk crept across his face as he continued to inhale his new manly scent deeply.
As he enjoyed his powerfully ripe and musky scent, Duncan was oblivious to the changes occurring underneath the fabric of his boxers. With each sniff, Duncan’s balls grew heavier and rounder, filling slowly with potent sperm, swelling to the size of eggs as his cock slightly surged bigger in length and width.
Snapping back to reality, Duncan pulled his face from his armpits, trying to get back on track and back in his work as he tried to ignore the party going on upstairs. He tapped at his keyboard a few times before taking another sip of is can of soda as an alien thought pushed itself to the front of his head. For some reason, he wanted to walk upstairs and join the party as he was dressed and let everyone smell just how manly he really was. He was well aware that this thought was just… unlike him, but he just couldn’t shake the feeling about how awesome it would be. Shaking his head and the thought from his mind, he came back to his senses. He felt an itch and scratched the top of his head, unaware as his biceps slowly started to bulge upward, growing in size as the veins over them became more pronounced.
A slim figure made its way down the stairs. Duncan looked up from the screen of his computer as the figure stepped into the light of the makeshift office Duncan had built into the basement. “Dude, the party is off the hook! Are you sure you don’t wanna come up?”
Cody stepped into the light, his pale thin twink body wearing a black mesh tank top shirt and white short shorts. He had a cute boyish look about him with an innocent face that Duncan found adorable, complete with brown eyes and full pouty lips. His shoulder-length brown hair getting twirled around his left index finger as if he were trying to charm Duncan.
“Sorry, dude. Busy night. Have fun, though.” Duncan didn’t even look up from his computer as he shot down Cody’s invitation. Social events weren’t his thing, especially when he had a headache and some new kind of sickness. Cody walked a little closer and brought his face to Duncan’s, giving him a pouty look complete with wide, begging eyes. “Come on, please? For me?”
Duncan playfully rolled his eyes. Cody knew how to be charming and play it up to his benefit, but Duncan had built up an immunity to his mind games. He used that wounded puppy look to get his way with him many times before. “No dice, Cody. I’m gonna sit this one out. I’ve got a lot to do.” Cody walked around the desk, sitting on the armrest of Duncan’s office chair. Normally Cody’s small body was virtually weightless, but with his weight combined with Duncan’s, the chair creaked a bit beneath them.
“Y’know, I know you’re only doing extra work to get out of talking to people,” Cody said accusingly. As he tried to convince Duncan to go upstairs and join in on the party, Cody was keeping his head close to Duncan’s body. With his head on Duncan’s shoulder, he was breathing in the intoxicating musk radiating from Duncan’s body. He was used to this smell and, truth be told, he always found it addicting, but there was just something about it now that made it so… inviting, as if he couldn’t breathe it in enough. He secretly loved when Duncan came home from the gym all sweaty because he enjoyed it when he smelled so strong and manly. He had such a crush on him for years, but knowing that he wasn’t Duncan’s type, he had to settle for enjoying him with his eyes and nose.
“Go to the gym again today?” Cody asked innocently, letting the alluring sent infiltrate his nose. Duncan shrugged, “I did this morning, but I guess I must’ve had the heat up too high down here that I started to get too hot and sweat.” Cody playfully pawed at his chest, amused at watching it bounce from his touch, but then he stared at it confused, because Duncan has never had pecs so pronounced before, but he brushed it off. “Well you have a good pump going. Must’ve had a good day this morning.”
Duncan laughed a bit as he felt Cody playing with his chest. “Yeah, but I could’ve done better. Maybe I’ll try again tomorrow.” He tried to concentrate, and after a few minutes, Duncan managed to contract his pectoral muscles, causing them to bounce. At first together, but after a bit, he was able to make them bounce one at a time. Cody was unable to look away, infatuated with his longtime crush, before snapping back to reality. “You’ll be too tired tomorrow morning to go after you come up and join my party tonight!”
“Cody, enough, please. I’m just not feeling up to it tonight, okay?” His tone was a little colder than he intended it to be, and he noticed it when he saw the wounded look on his friend’s face. “Look, I’m just not feeling all that great. I am having this really intense migraine right now, I have some kind of new cold, and I have a lot of work that needs done.” Cody gave him a smile and pressed a soft kiss into his cheek, “I understand. Feel better.” Being friends for so many years since childhood and becoming roommates after college, the boundaries between the two men were well past informal. With how comfortable the two were around each other, they were practically invisible. With another smile and a roll of his eyes, Duncan put his palm in Cody’s face and pushed him off his chair. Again, with something that happened so frequently, something felt off about it to Duncan, as Cody looked genuinely caught off guard to the amount of strength he used to push him.
“Cody, dude. Go back upstairs and enjoy your party. I don’t want to risk getting you sick.” Duncan gave his roommate a warm smile before letting his hand rummage through his brown hair. “I promise, I’ll be up later when it’s over.” Cody crossed his thin arms over his chest and gave Duncan another pouty puppy look to try and convince him, but seeing that Duncan was already back to having his nose in his computer, he decided to give up. He was going to head back up the stairs and rejoin his house party, but first, for some reason, he had to just smell Duncan one more time. Leaning in, Cody took a deep breath, inhaling the incredible musky scent radiating from the oblivious Duncan’s body, then bolted up the steps clumsily.
Tapping his foot on the floor, he felt his toes just barely hit the cold metal of the desk. Figuring he was too close, he rolled back the office chair, oblivious to his feet slightly increasing in size across the linoleum flooring.
Taking another sip from his can of soda, Duncan rested his chin on his hand. Try as he might, he just couldn’t bring himself focus on doing his work. He just wasn’t feeling like his usual self. There was something distracting him and he couldn’t exactly figure out what it is, but an intense feeling swiftly began brewing up and felt as if it was going to bubble over the pot if it went ignored. Duncan needed to focus on his work, but this feeling required his urgent attention.
|
Trying to get his work done, Duncan was overcome with an unbearable feeling. Sure, he’d been horny before and he’s rubbed one out while working from home a few times every now and then, but that was usually just out of boredom. This feeling? It was just so intense. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t quell it and the burning feeling continued to grow, overcoming his body. God he was so hot, and trying to ignore the feelings only made them grow worse. Sweat began to coat his body once more as his body temperature rose.
Despite his best efforts to fight it, Duncan succumbed to his desires once he got another whiff of his own sexual musk. He leaned back in his office chair as he pulled down the waistband of his boxers. There was a red imprint around his waist from the boxers digging into his skin. He knew that they hadn’t always been so tight, but he figured that perhaps they’d shrunk in the dryer. Upon getting freed from its confines, Duncan’s cock sprung up and smacked against his… tight abs with its thick head reaching just over his innie belly button? He’s never had abs before, not even just a few minutes ago. Come to think of it, he’s never had a hard time seeing beneath his chest before. His eyes were wide in disbelief. What he could see over his chest was a much longer, thicker cock attached to his pelvis. His right hand instinctively went to it, taking it in his grip, and was shocked to find its new heft hardly fit around his… good god, have his hands always looked this big? And his cock still didn’t fit into it?
“What is… happening to me?” Duncan muttered out in between moans as he began to stroke himself. His shock and disbelief melted away as he began pumping his now-larger meat into his hand as his alluring musk invaded his mind, removing all fear and worry and replacing it with intense pleasure and desire. His satisfaction was the only thing that mattered now. His free hand went to find his heavy sack, rubbing and squeezing it as he felt it swell in his hand. He could feel himself producing more masculine sperm as he jerked himself off. Continuing to work his hands on his expanding meat as his cock slowly increased in size, Duncan’s mind began to wander to lusty thoughts. “God, I’m fucking huge. This is a back breaker here. I could snap a twink in half with this, and… oh god, it’s growing. I’m getting so big. I want to see a twink take all this. A twink like… Cody.”
Duncan was well aware that this thought was definitely unlike him, but his mind was so clouded by his own lust that he didn’t care. Never before did he ever express an attraction to twinks, much less his own roommate and friend. Sure, Duncan was aware that Cody had a crush on him, after all, he made it quite obvious. If he’d ever wanted to before, he could’ve used the situation to his advantage and used Cody for his own sexual benefit, but he cared too much for him as a friend to use him. His brain was trying to fight back against his rising lust and libido, but it was fighting a losing battle.
“God, Cody… he’d love to get rammed with this. I could hold him down and break his back like a glow stick. Watch as his little stomach bulges as he tries to fit all of me inside of him.” He was pumping away at his glorious cock, watching in amazement as he saw his feet expand across the hard linoleum floor beneath his now-baseball sized sack and potentially twelve inch monster. He couldn’t shake the imagine in his mind of pinning Cody down in his king sized bed and growing inside of him to the point of breaking the bed and growing through the ceiling. He’s never thought about Cody this way before, but now… it’s all he wanted. His roommate taking his expanding cock and enjoying the ride of his life while getting split in half. While he was lost in his own self-satisfaction, his phone came to life and rang, but Duncan didn’t pick up. His self worship came first.
“Those cute little lips… perfect to fit around this monster.” He was pumping himself furiously as he imagined all the ways he’d have sex with Cody. “That perky little ass… perfect for stretching wide open to only fit me from now on… He belongs to me!” With a final pump, Duncan finally blew his load. With the increases to his vitality, not only was his body changing. He released like a geyser, shooting torrents of his thick, warm load over his face, pecs, and abs. Opening his mouth, he stuck out his tongue and caught some of his cum as he shot, swallowing it. The taste was nice and tangy. As he released shark exhales, he watched in amazement as his thighs and calves began to swell thicker with pure muscle. His greatest dreams were finally coming true. He was growing bigger and god have mercy on anyone that would try to stop him now.
Peeling off his underwear, Duncan stood up and immediately ran to his mirror. He had abs! He’d never had abs before, but now he had a tight six pack of abs! He let his hand feel them, examining the six brick wall in amazement that rested under his bigger shelf of pecs. He let his hands roam over his still-hard cock, amazed at its newly grown, impressive size. Whipping open a drawer in his desk, Duncan eagerly pulled out a tape measure, fumbling around a bit as he tried to get used to the new size of his hands. Extending the tape measure, he found the new length of his cock to reach ten inches long and four inches in girth. “This is just amazing,” he muttered to himself as he observed himself, specifically his cock. He gave himself a cocky smirk in the mirror as he flexed his pecs.
Remembering that he did it earlier for Cody’s amusement, he decided to try it one more time, and seeing that now his chest was even bigger, it should look even more impressive. He started to bounce his pecs, at first at the same time, but he started to change up his rhythm. Together. Together. Right. Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Together. Left. Left. Right. He then flexed his arms in a double bicep pose, watching in ecstasy as he saw his biceps visibly reach to new peaks with veins bulging underneath his skin. He finally looked like a bodybuilder. An amateur one, but a body builder. He needed to be bigger. No, he needed to get this project finished for work…
He reluctantly sat back down in his desk chair, a devlish grin and light chuckle formed and escaped his mouth as he heard the loud creaking coming from the office chair beneath him. He tapped away at his keyboard a few times but just found himself distracted again. How could he focus on work when he was growing into a god in real time? He had more to offer the world now than just meaningless office work. He should be worshipped by his followers who would build statues of him, immortalizing him forever as the man who grew beyond his boring life. Beyond normalcy. He was growing above mediocrity and the world would be aware.
He smiled at the thought and shook his head, his brain taking charge once again. It may be boring, but he liked his life. He was nothing special and history would probably never remember him as just a small speck of dust in the galaxy, and he was content with that. He had a job he liked to be able to work from home. He had close friends that he loved, and he even lived with one that he’s grown up with. Sure, Cody was obviously infatuated with Duncan and had been for years, but they’d both decided that it was better to remain friends and potentially jeopardize their relationship as it was, and they valued each other too much for that. He had an adorable golden retriever that he was completely infatuated with, and whenever Cody threw his raucous house parties, he always had the good sense to take her over to his sister’s house before Duncan even got home. Sure, whatever this sickness was was changing his body, but he refused to let it go to his head… completely. He may as well have a little fun with it since he’d only dreamed about this exact thing every night for the past almost ten years. Sure, he might now have been exactly burning it up in the romance department, but with casual sex from guys he’d meet at clubs and coffee houses, plus all the love and support he’d ever needed from his friends, pet, and sibling, it wasn’t exactly like he was missing out on something. Life was good. Life was…
His head hit the keyboard, falling asleep unexpectedly, fading into blackness. A voice called out to him through the darkness. A voice that sounded concerned as it called out, “Duncan?”
|
Opening his eyes, Duncan found himself wrapped securely inside of a soft, velvety blanket on the black couch as the sunlight peeked in through the window, the purple curtains open just enough to let it shine in right onto Duncan’s face. He looked around at his surroundings and examined the beige walls with modest decorations. The old cuckoo clock on the wall that belong to his grandmother that Duncan had “inherited” from his father when he finally moved out. The various framed pictures of himself and Cody throughout their lives from childhood to Duncan’s surprise birthday party from last week that Cody had organized with Dawn’s help without his notice. He had never noticed before, but Cody was always so close to him in these pictures. Sure, he’s always known that Cody had a small crush on him, but just how small was it really? And how long did he have it?
He rustled a bit as he sat up on the couch, the blanket falling down his much bigger chest and thicker shoulders. His eyes looked across the room and focused on the brunette twink sitting in the reclining chair, drinking out of a large mug. He had many questions, but he instead he focused his eyes on his roommate and his expressionless face warmed up as he gave him a sweet smile. There was something just so comforting about Cody’s presence, and now that this sickness was starting to take Duncan’s mind and body to new, potentially frightening places, just the sight of him was enough to make him feel safe and at ease.
Cody noticed his stirring, and sat his coffee cup down on the coffee table next to the vintage Madonna Sex book Duncan had gifted him on his own birthday a few years ago. “Thank god you’re up!” Cody rushed over to him, getting onto his knees and brushed his fingers softly through his black hair. Duncan blinked a few times, processing his surroundings and what was happening around him, but more importantly what happened last night. Nothing made sense. How did he get up here? The last thing he remembered was recovering from the most euphoric orgasm of his life and went back to work. He didn’t do anything wrong, did he? He knew his mind started to wander and he began to view Cody in a light he’d never thought of before. He didn’t come up and take advantage of him, did he? Cody was throwing a house party last night, wasn’t he? Where are all the drunk houseguests sleeping it off? Where was all the mess and the garbage strewn about the house? Why was Cody acting so worried right now?
Cody seemed to pick up on his worried mind, and began to speak softly to calm his mind. “I heard a really loud banging sound coming from your office in the basement, so I sent everyone home when I saw you lying unconscious at your desk. It was kind of hard, but I carried you up here, got you as dressed as you like to be, and waited all night for you to come back to me.”
Duncan looked Cody in his eyes, looking at his frightened expression and meeting it with a warm smile. Cody has always taken care of Duncan when he was sick before, so this was nothing new, but there was something in Cody’s face that was different. He was scared. He feared the unknown and what was happening to Duncan right now definitely counted as the unknown. He’d never noticed before, but Duncan was just now seeing exactly how devoted to him that Cody really was. He’d always felt a little bad because there would never be any sort of the compensation that Cody wanted for his efforts. He’d never get to become one with Duncan the way he’d wanted. There was always guilt in the back of Duncan’s mind in knowing that Cody was so interested in him, but he’d never returned that feeling, so perhaps it would be easier on Cody if he’d give him space, moved out, and set boundaries with him. If he weren’t in the way, Cody would be able to find a man that would treat him the way he deserved, the way Cody treated Duncan.
He was more in control of his mind now, but Duncan noticed something else in Cody’s big brown eyes. These tiny little flecks of green breaking up the warm, inviting coolness of the deep brown. Even when he wasn’t trying to be, Cody was charming. Closing his own eyes, memories played back in Duncan’s mind, and he took notice of something he’d never thought of before. Cody was always there in them. His pretty smile that looked so innocent, his eyes that could light up the world, his laughter that could warm the hearts of millions. His soft lips like little pillows and his small waist, begging for strong arms to hold onto and keep him close. It’s something he’d never noticed or even thought of before, but after trying to convince himself that it wasn’t right, the answer rested clearly in Duncan’s mind. He loved Cody. He always had but didn’t want to risk anything happening to the relationship they already had, so he pushed it from his mind and repressed it deep into his subconscious. He felt butterflies in his stomach as he opened his eyes back up and met Cody’s once more. He had tried to convince himself that he wasn’t interested and told himself lie after lie that Cody wasn’t his type and he wanted a man in any shape or form that didn’t resemble him, but deep inside, he’d always known that Cody was his soulmate. With it brought freshly back into his mind, all he wanted to do was close the gap between their faces and press a passionate kiss on his roommate’s lips, but he feared it was too late. He knew that Cody was trying to move on from his crush, and he didn’t want to do anything further to risk hurting him. His mind continued to race as he pictured both himself and Cody being miserable, until the softness of his roommate’s voice broke his concentration.
“Duncan, I’m worried about you.” He held Duncan’s head securely in his arms as he continued to softly caress his hair with his fingers. “Something seems so different about you. You’re changing right in front of me. You’ve been acting so distant lately, and now you’re growing bigger in front of me.” Damn, Duncan thought to himself. He’d hoped that his crush on him would keep Cody from noticing the changes happening to him. Not only that, but in trying to distance himself to keep Cody safe and trying to keep him from getting sick, he had changed his behavior to avoid him. Even when he had good intentions, Duncan still ended up hurting him. He hurt someone he loved. “Duncan, will you be honest with me right now?” Cody gave him wide, pleading eyes, hoping to get the truth from him. Duncan slowly nodded his head as Cody released it from his grip. “Are you taking steroids or something?” Cody asked with genuine concern. He’d been playing back the events in his own head.
He came down from his own party because of the intoxicating scent Duncan radiated that seemed to overpower all his senses and led him downstairs to him and he fawned over him as usual, but there was something in Duncan’s behavior he’d never had before with Cody. He was so cold to him. His tone and his words were harsh, but it seemed like he’d caught onto this and tried to apologize, so Cody brushed off the feeling as best as he could and went back upstairs. When he smelled Duncan’s intoxicating musk once again, he quickly moved down the stairs as quietly as possible, watching Duncan as he grew bigger right in front of his eyes. Cody had saw more than he’d let Duncan know. He saw everything. He’d watched his crush surge larger in size and, god, the way he was so turned on by himself as he grew was so attractive to Cody. He couldn’t hear anything Duncan was saying to himself, but he watched his cock grow longer and thicker in his grip and his ballsack grow rounder and fuller until he reached his orgasm, but he couldn’t spring into action until he saw Duncan’s head slam down on the keyboard, unconscious. He loved Duncan and he knew all about his desires to get bigger, so at first he felt happy for him and even a little turned on, but the scene got frightening very fast and Cody couldn’t help but feel afraid. Of what was happening to Duncan and what Duncan could potentially do. Now, it was Duncan’s turn to calm down his friend.
“Cody… I promise. I’m not taking anything. I would never lie to you. I care too much about you to hurt you.” He cupped Cody’s cheek with his right hand, noticing that even it had grown bigger during his growth spurt. He brought Cody’s gaze back to his, noticing the fear in his eyes as he took in Duncan’s new current size, softly caressing his cheek with his thumb. “I know that I’ve been acting strange lately, but that’s because I’ve been feeling so sick, and I didn’t want to risk getting you sick, too. I’ve been trying to hide it from you and I just want to protect you. I never want to hurt you, and I’m sorry that I’m scaring you.”
Cody’s face warmed back up and he gave Duncan a bright smile, which he returned. God, all he wanted to do right now is kiss him, but he couldn’t. Cody wanted honesty and he deserved it. There’d always be more time to get into any romantic feelings, so he just wanted to fill him in on everything he’d learned so far. “There’s no name for what I have and there’s no telling what all it could do to me physically inside or out.” Noting the concern on Cody’s face, Duncan continued to speak to ease his mind. “Dawn is working on it at the lab right now. She’s studying it and I let her take a sample of my blood to run some tests and see if it helps any scientists learn more about whatever I have. All we know is that it’s infectious and that it affects muscle and nerve tissue and it’s going to make me bigger. There’s no telling how big I’m going to get or if it’s ever going to stop. I don’t want you to worry about me, and I know that telling you that won’t make you stop, but I love you and I just want to keep you safe.”
Hearing Duncan finally give him a confession and an answer for his strange behavior and sudden changes, Cody wrapped his arms around Duncan, pulling him into a hug, which Duncan swiftly reciprocated. His cock sprung to life underneath the heavy blanket from feeling Cody’s touch. “I appreciate all you do for me, and I’m so thankful for you, Cody.” Duncan could feel himself growing as he embraced Cody. His torso and legs began to extend longer, making his head slowly rise higher above Cody. His pecs were pushing into Cody’s chest, pushing him away as his shoulders and back swelled wider, giving him a slight V-shaped body. As his back widened, Cody’s hands were forced apart to his amazement.
Smelling as his musk began to overpower the room again, Duncan peeled Cody off of him, shocked at how much smaller he looked compared to just last night. “I need to go back to the basement. It’s happening again and I don’t want to hurt you.” Cody smelled the musk radiating from his body, and decided to make a move. “No. If you want to protect me, you have to let me help you. I need to see everything.” Duncan had to look further down to see Cody due to his increasing height, but he was fighting a losing game as his pecs surged in size, obscuring the underside of his view. “Cody, please—” He tried to protest, but Cody would hear none of it. “No, Duncan. I need to see what’s going on that you think you’re protecting me from. Hiding from me won’t help anything.” Cody softly placed his hand on Duncan’s leg from over the blanket, pressing his fingers into his thighs, watching in amazement as his legs pushed back against his touch, thickening with raw muscle. There were no words to describe this experience. Cody could release right then and there.
Feeling Cody’s soft touch, Duncan’s cock flared to life, growing harder as it swelled longer and thicker within the tight underwear Cody had put on him while he was asleep. His balls grew rounder and heavier as they continued to fill with mighty sperm, reaching the size of goose eggs, causing him to release a grunt to try and contain his rising lust. His feet continued to grow, his toes starting to rip at the seams of the tight ankle socks Cody dressed him with. As he smelled his own musk that drove him wild, Duncan was fighting to resist giving into his primal desires. He wanted to just strip Cody down and violate him in as many ways as possible. He wanted to be stuck deep inside of him and watch as his cock grew bigger inside of his roommate, causing his stomach to bulge further and further as his potent cum filled his gut to the point of rounding out, but as a clenched his growing fists, he fought against his instincts. As much as he wanted it, he knew better than to force himself on Cody. He put his hand back on Cody’s face, caressing his cheek with his thumb, watching as it swelled in size, filling half of Cody’s gorgeous face in its growth. The couch began to creak and grown underneath Duncan’s currently increasing weight.
He felt as his toned butt grew rounder and thicker, fighting against his swelling cock and goose egg balls in his tight briefs, and the briefs were losing the war as they started to tear with audible ripping sounds. Duncan bit his lip and stifled a moan, trying not to let himself lose control and succumb to intense pleasure with Cody in the room. He released deep, sharp breaths in order to keep himself sane as Cody looked at him with a mixture of wonder, excitement, and fear. He was curious about what was happening to his roommate and friend and wanted to know more, but he didn’t want to overstep his boundaries and he didn’t want to risk Duncan accidentally hurting him as he fought back some sort of urges and emotions in front of him. He knew Duncan would never hurt him intentionally, but in the back of his mind, he couldn’t shake the feeling that Duncan wasn’t in control when he was like this and that Duncan was doing his best now to keep himself in control for him.
With a few more grunts and moans escaping from Duncan’s lips, his breathing started to return to normal as the overbearing feelings started to pass again. He felt relieved that the growth was not nearly as noticeable or as… alluring as it had been last night. He made it through this wave of growth and kept himself in control without making any sudden moves on Cody. He didn’t know how long he could do this, but he had to try every time. Cody was worth protecting and Duncan would never forgive himself if he let anything happen to him, especially if he would be the one to cause something tragic to happen.
He grabbed Cody’s hand from his thigh and took it in his, giving him the warmest smile he could currently muster. “Cody, I’m sorry if I scared you.” Cody’s face was red as he tried to pick his words carefully. “I’m glad that I got to see. I know you tried to keep yourself together. You tried to keep yourself sane for me. Thank you, but…” He sighed “I can’t help you if I don’t know what I’m being kept from.” Duncan shook his head, not wanting to completely admit to Cody what thoughts he’d been having about him lately. “I just can’t control myself. It’s like my libido goes above and beyond what a real person’s should be and I get the unrelenting urge to release. I can’t trust myself around you. Around anyone. I don’t know what I’m capable of.”
Cody gave him a nod, he understood Duncan’s reservations and why he keeps trying to distance himself from him, but he loved him. He wanted to be with him in sickness and in health, and whatever this sickness was would be no exception. “Then it’s time you learned. If it helps you with whatever is going on with you, then you need to see just how far you can go. You might just be restraining yourself for no reason. If it helps making you healthy again, I’ll do anything I can to help you, even if it means…” Cody cut himself off. Sure, he’d never been exactly sly about wanting to sleep with Duncan before, but something was different now. This was more than just his own lust and attraction speak. This was genuine concern and he was willing to put his own body and health at risk if it meant Duncan would be able to be healthy again.
“Cody, I can’t do that to you.” Duncan gave him sad eyes that heavily emoted sorrow at the thought of potentially going too far and either hurting Cody physically by being too big for him or hurting Cody emotionally and mentally by giving him a taste of something that would destroy a life long friendship. “I won’t do that to yo—” Cody cut him off. “Listen to me. I’m not scared of anything that might come from this. I’m going to help you whether you want me to or not, and if you don’t know just what you’re capable of now, then you’re going to learn. I’m not letting you get the final say in this. You can try to protect me all you want, but if you won’t let yourself see what you can do, you won’t know what you’re trying to protect me from.”
Duncan just shook his head. “I’m sorry, Cody, but I just can’t risk it. You mean well and I’m flattered that you’re so willing, but I just care too much about you to let anything happen to you. You’re worth protecting from anything, including me.” He let his eyes wander around the room until they laid on the cuckoo clock. “It’s one already? I’m so late for work!” He shot up from the couch and started to run to his room. Cody, deflated, but still ever-positive jumped to his feet and caught his hulking roommate before he got to his bedroom door. “I called you off from the office today. You were in no shape to go to work this morning and you aren’t now.” Duncan released a sharp exhale of relief. Cody was truly a gifted caretaker. “You’re the best, Co.” He put his hand on Cody’s head and messed up his hair with a smile. “Listen, I’m going to go down to my office in the basement and get some work done for today. I’ll be up soon, I promise.” Cody gave him a nod with a sweet smile. “That’s okay, after Chase comes over and I get my workout in today, I’ll start on dinner. Soup tonight?” Duncan gave him a nod before grabbing a can of cola from the refrigerator in the kitchen before heading down the stairs.
Sitting in his office chair, he held his head in his hands as he felt something bubbling up from the pit of his stomach. It was an intense feeling coming on and it was filling him to the brim. Resentment? No, it couldn’t be. This didn’t feel as… heavy. He closed his eyes as his breathing became heavier. Chase was coming over? How dare he come over while Duncan was working while Cody was upstairs alone?! Duncan knew his thoughts were currently unreasonable. He was jealous over Chase. Cody’s personal trainer whom he’s met many times, yet now he just felt intense jealousy at the thought of him coming over to his house… touching his Cody… making him get all sweaty… Cody belonged to him and nobody else! Good god, why was this eating him up? He knows Chase! He knows that there’s nothing going on between them, but he just couldn’t shake this feeling. He wanted Cody all to himself and didn’t want to be apart ever again. He released an angered groan as he heard the doorbell ring.
|
Cody opened the door to his home and a young adult man with bronzed skin with tightly toned but not overly bulky muscles wearing a loose dark gray tank top that exposed his well-built and defined pecs and short black shorts that showcase his long, toned legs. His feet nearly bare if they weren’t wearing black and white slides. The bigger male gave Cody a friendly smile.
“Chase, there you are! How have you been?” Cody wrapped his arms around Chase and gave him a warm, friendly hug. Cody soon had Chase’s toned arms wrapped around him in response before he entered, playfully rubbing his hands on Cody’s head to mess up his brunette hair.
“Gee, you couldn’t have possibly kept me waiting any longer, could you?” Chase sarcastically asked, playfully crossing his arms over his chest. “I was beginning to think you were blowing me off again.”
Chase and Cody had been friends for ages. For as long as there was Duncan, Chase wasn’t far behind. Chase was a new student freshman year in high school, and a tall, thin South Asian gay kid wasn’t exactly popular in white suburbia. He was bullied and mocked mercilessly. He had been beaten, bruised and bloody almost daily. There was one person that ever showed him kindness. One person that stood up for him. One other kid that would willingly get pummeled and thrown in the dumpsters alongside Chase. Cody. The ever-kind sweetheart. From then on, Chase never felt alone. There was someone else out there in the world that felt similarly to him. Cody was his guardian angel and Chase made sure he stayed close even after graduation.
Chase might not have been the smartest kid in the class, but when your best friend is the class valedictorian with the highest GPA the school had ever seen that also turned out to be incredibly computer savvy and able to hack his way into any program, Cody was able to secure Chase a spot as a student when he went to college. Cody was devastated when Chase opted to not pursue higher education, but his heart rested easier once Chase delivered the news that he’d accepted a job as a trainer at the gym across the street from Cody’s house he shared with Duncan.
Cody snickered at his friend, playfully teasing him. “As if I could ever get rid of you.” Chase stood on his toes and flexed as if he were Superman. “Well, it’s not like I wouldn’t be able to find you.” It was never up for debate in Cody’s head that Chase’s change from the thin, lanky twink he used to be in their freshman year in high school to the school’s athletic jock track star into their sophomore year and all the way until their adulthood was a direct response to the bullying Chase received when he had just moved. Cody felt deep grief that Chase was never given the ability to feel comfortable in his own skin like he had and that he conditioned himself into becoming the masculine jock stereotype that stood before him now, but Chase was happy now. With everything that plagued his past, Chase was able to overcome the odds, stay strong, and make it relatively unscathed. Plagued… just like Duncan. The love of Cody’s life was hiding from him in the basement because he didn’t trust himself around Cody anymore.
Chase watched as Cody’s big brown eyes got lost in thought and he waved his hands in front of his friend’s face. “Hello? Earth to Cody! Are you still in there?”
Cody eventually came back to his senses and shook his head, his gaze meeting his bigger friend’s. “Oh, sorry, I’m just thinking about something else right now.”
Chase’s eyes rolled, knowing what Cody was thinking about. “Duncan again? I saw his beat-up old truck in the driveway. Too hungover to go to work again?”
Chase didn’t really have an issue with Duncan, but he hated to see Cody squander his life on someone that didn’t appreciate him. Cody devoted his entire life to Duncan, and he never got anything in return. Duncan didn’t want him and Cody was collecting dust sitting up on the shelf like a vintage Barbie. Chase wanted Cody to finally just come to his senses, set some boundaries with Duncan, and just let himself free. He’s wasting the best years of his life on someone that just doesn’t care for him. He wanted Cody to want more for himself. To be more than a housewife to a husband that couldn’t commit or realize the good thing he’s got under his nose and slipping through his fingers.
Cody just shook his head solemnly. The worries in his mind weren’t going away, but he’d make the attempt to push them to the side for now as he made his home welcome for his friend. “He’s in the basement. He’s been really sick lately, so he’s been working from home.”
Chase released a sigh that sounded exasperated and annoyed, but felt loaded with more pity for Cody than anything else. “And let me guess. Nurse Cody is trying to make everything all better?”
Cody looked like he was about to burst into tears, causing Chase to try and fix everything. Poorly, but he was genuine with his attempt. “Geez, I was just kidding.” Once again, Cody shook his head. “I don’t want to talk about this right now, can we just get to yoga practice today?”
Chase snickered, trying to lighten the mood. “Not dressed like that, we aren’t. Go change.”
Cody looked down at himself. He was wearing a white wool sweater and black sweatpants that looked too oversized on him. Had he not been tall, Cody could probably get away with wearing kid’s clothes on this thin frame. Cody’s demeanor changed and he released a light giggle. “I’ll be right back,” he excused himself and ran down the hall to his bedroom. Within a few minutes, he reemerged in a living room wearing a white loose tank top and shorts similar to Chase’s, however whereas Chase’s muscles were toned and taut, Cody’s body looked like skin was just thrown over a pile of bones that some wizard put a spell on to become a real boy.
As the two unraveled and sat matching baby blue yoga mats on the floor and began doing some stretches, Cody broke the silence, unable to clear his mind from what had been happening in his life. “Chase, can I ask you something?”
Chase, stretching as his fingertips reached the tips of his toes as he sat with his thighs spread open, thought nothing of his request. “Of course. You never have to ask, dude.” Cody took a deep breath, he was pretty in tune with Chase’s desires. What if they started to come true like Duncan’s are?
“If you could look like the world’s fittest athlete who could master any sport, but you’d completely change as a person in exchange, would you do it?”
Chase, while not breaking his concentration as he continued with his stretches, as well as helping Cody get the right form on his stretches, replied after he thought for a moment. “That’s a hard question, but if it came at the consequence of completely changing my entire identity, I’d much rather just stay the same as who I am now. There’s more to me than just my body.” His response was refreshing to Cody’s ears, but it reminded him of something. That was a similar answer that Duncan would’ve given him before he got sick if Cody had ever asked him that question. What if Chase were to come down with whatever this sickness is that’s changing Duncan? Would he, too, transform into someone completely unrecognizable on the inside? Would this sickness take all of his friends he loved dearly from him if it spread?
Time was cruel, but change could be even worse, especially if it’s so sudden. Like it or not, Duncan was changing in both his body and his mind. The least Cody could do is try to fight against it and hope that the new Duncan would still want him around while trying to help him through it.
The time passed by as the two completed their yoga session in silence outside of Chase giving Cody advice on his form and giving commands. Chase, sweating, sat on the couch as Cody walked over to him and handed him a glass of iced tea before walking over to his seat on the recliner where he had just spent all night watching Duncan after carrying him up from the basement. Before sitting down, he picked up and folded the pink fuzzy blanket he had dressed himself with as he camped out and watched over Duncan, sitting it off to the side to a counter by the nearby desk.
As he sat, Chase had his mind fixated on earlier. “Cody? Why did you ask me that question?” He fixed his eyes on Cody’s, locking directly on to them as he waited for an answer.
Cody just shrugged it off before Chase persisted. “It’s Duncan, isn’t it? Cody, are you okay here? Did he hit you?”
Cody quickly shook his head. “Of course not! Duncan would never lay a hand on me! Well… not intentionally. Why do you ask?”
Chase sat his glass down on a coaster on the coffee table, then crossed his arms over his chest. “First the sweater you wanted to do yoga in, there’s a red handprint on your shoulder, and your body was sore today. Something is up, Cody. I know you’ve had a crush on him for years, but you need to let it go. It’s not good for your health. As long as he’s here, you aren’t safe.”
Cody held up his hands in protest. He wasn’t prepared for Chase to ask questions, but he couldn’t lie to him. “It’s just that… Duncan caught this strange sickness that nobody really knows anything about yet. It’s giving him the big muscled body he’d always dreamed of having, but he’s changing in so many other ways, too. His personality… he’s becoming colder as a person. He’s hiding from me. He’s accidentally using more force than he intends to, he doesn’t know his own strength anymore. He says that he’s trying to distance himself from me because he’s afraid that he might hurt me, but…”
Chase cut him off. “Cody, I think he’s just trying to let you down easy. He’s creating space between you. You deserve to go out and live your life, Cody. He doesn’t feel the same way about you that you do him and he wants you to be free. I want you to be free. You’re not his boyfriend, you’re not his husband, and you’re not his mother. Your life was not meant to be spent waiting around hand and foot on a man who doesn’t want you. You need to move on. You’ve wasted twenty-five years of your life on him and you’ve gotten nothing out of it. It’s time to just sever the ties and finally let go.”
Cody wiped a tear away from his eye as it began to form. “I know that it’s not getting me anywhere and he’s not interested, but I still can’t turn my back on him when he needs me the most. I want to get him back to his full health, whatever that may be now, and go from there.”
Chase gave him a pleased look. “Cody, listen. You need to let go and finally start living your own life. This is your life and you need to start living it. He doesn’t want you. You should be with someone who is as devoted to you as you are to him.”
Cody blinked a bit as he continued to fight off tears, starting to come up a realization. “You’re right… I don’t know how I never saw it before. He’s my friend and I love him, but I’ve also been in love with him for so long and I get burned every single day. I guess I just became his doormat in hopes that one day, he’d feel the same way about me, but I’ve been a fool. I’ve been an idiot. Maybe I should start packing up and slowly begin moving out.”
From underneath the kitchen, Duncan stood at the stairs, eavesdropping on Cody’s conversation with Chase. His unreasonable rage seemed to build every single time he heard Chase’s admittedly suave voice try to persuade Cody into leaving him, but he had to confess that he was right. Duncan had been keeping Cody at a distance to try and let him move on as he tried wrestling with his own feelings for him. He wanted to love Cody, but he just wasn’t good enough. He’d never be the devoted man Cody deserved. Once he heard that Cody began to concede and give up on him, he felt guilt gnawing at him in his stomach. He wanted to leave? It seemed no matter what he thought was the best option for their relationship, Duncan just ended up hurting Cody. He loved Cody all along and now he was starting to grow into someone that could actually protect him, but now he wanted to leave? Dammit! No matter what, he’d never win. Life just kept kicking him. Now that something good was finally happening to him, it’s going to come at the greatest cost of his life. Cody was his whole world, and even though it took twenty-five years to realize it, he was about to lose it.
He’d been so selfish all this time. His perfect match had been at his side all this time and now he’s going to lose it. He looked at his new body in the mirror. The hulking beast staring back at him would’ve turned him on any other day, but all he saw now was a loathsome creature worthy of contempt and hatred. He was angry and grew angrier the more he observed his body. He watched as his waist become thinner, giving him a tighter V shaped body as his shoulders, traps, and back continued to widen. His greatest fantasy turned out to be his biggest nightmare. He aggressively punched his mirror, causing it to shatter to pieces and cut his knuckles, drawing blood.
Without Cody, Duncan had nothing. He had nothing to live for. What was his life without him? Meaningless office work and a mundane life until he’d eventually die? No! He couldn’t face this world without him. Just a few hours ago, Cody had just offered up his body for Duncan to use for his own personal whims and pleasures to help him understand this sickness… now he wanted to leave! Duncan simply couldn’t let that happen! Now was the time that he had to make his move. Risking the friendship he had with Cody by becoming lovers was a much better alternative than losing him altogether.
It was now or never. Determined, Duncan charged up the stairs, ignoring as his feet continued to stretch the threading of his socks and started to fracture the wooden stairs under his increasing weight. Running through the kitchen, Duncan emerged in the living room, his hulking form finally exposed to Chase, who looked at him with a horrified expression as he observed him from his expanding feet, toes starting to tear through his socks to his head. With each step Duncan took, the pictures on the wall shook and jumped, but nothing could stop him now.
“Cody…”
|
Duncan’s chest heaved as he breathed heavily as he emerged into the living room. He’s never moved so fast in his life, but hey, you’d grow wings if it meant keeping the love of your life with you. Chase looked at the hulking swollen mass of man in front of him, horrified to see what had become of Duncan. He looked inhuman now. He was shaped like a god and he was still growing in front of him. “Duncan? What’s happened to you?”
Duncan shook his head, ignoring Chase as he moved to Cody. Kneeling down in front of him, Duncan grabbed Cody’s hand in his, and held it to his chest where Cody could feel his heartbeat and his swelling muscle against his skin. “Cody, please. Listen to me. Don’t leave me.”
Cody looked embarrassed as he moved his eyes around the room, trying to ignore Duncan’s body. “So you heard that? Listen, Duncan, I was just thinking that I—”
Duncan cut him off, not wanting to hear the rest of his sentence. He needed to profess his feelings now before it was too late. “Cody, please don’t leave me. I can’t survive without you. I’m a wreck without you. You make this tiny existence worth living. You are the light in the darkness of my life. I need you to stay with me. I know you’ve had a crush on me for years, but I never wanted you to feel like I was taking advantage of you. I never wanted to risk what we had in case I couldn’t live up to the fantasies that you’ve had about me. About us. I don’t want to lose you, you mean the world to me. I love you, and I’ve fought against it for so long, but I don’t just love you. I am in love with you, and every single day I find myself more and more in love with you, and I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve you, but I’m willing to try to show you that I can give you the love you deserve.”
As he made his professions like word vomit, Duncan’s words were accompanied by a symphony of his clothes tearing. His feet were bursting from the remains of socks still lingering on them as his cock, balls, ass, and thighs created an obscene bulge in his leggings as they tore his boxers and his leggings started to distress around his calves and moved up his swelling legs.
Cody, shocked, gave wide eyes to Chase, then to Duncan, who, despite the increasing hardness of his currently growing body, his face was soft and emotional as he made his declarations clear to Cody. “Y-you mean it? You love me?”
Duncan gave him a nod. “I’ve tried to fight it off for so long, but yes. I always have.”
As the two discussed their feelings, Chase got a strong whiff of a very intense smell. Looking around, he found the smell emanating from Duncan and found himself strangely drawn to it… to him. He’d never particularly cared for Duncan, but any dislike he’d had of him and any fear he’d had of him seeing him grow before him began to melt away as he smelled his overpowering musk.
Cody, in disbelief, tried to make sense of what was happening. His lifelong crush on Duncan that he’d never returned… was secretly reciprocated all along. “You love me? How long have you known?”
Duncan, through grunts and groans and his legs and torso elongated as his balls swelled to the size of tennis balls and the expanding cock overtop of it created a monstrous bulge that was stretching out the threading of his shredding leggings. “Ever since that one day when we were walking home from middle school in the rain. You looked so beautiful with your hair wet, and the way you shivered as you held onto me for warmth… I wrapped my arms around you and I told you that I’d always protect you. I’d always keep you warm and safe. You were something special worth protecting.”
As the two relived old memories, Duncan finally brought his face to Cody’s. After twenty-five years of hiding and loving, they were finally free. Pressing their lips together, Duncan and Cody finally became one together, and with a final grunt, Duncan’s clothes gave out as he grew out of them, his massive, heavy cock erupting from its tight prison. Breaking their lips apart, the bigger Duncan grunted and panted heavily, trying to catch his breath. “I have… been wanting… to do that… for ages.”
Cody, with his eyes and mouth wide open in disbelief tried to process what had just happened. Duncan gave him wide, begging eyes as he continued to plead. “Cody, please. Don’t leave me. I love you so much and I’m sorry that it took me so long to say it. I tried to fight against it every single day, but the more time I spend with you, the more that I love you. I promise that if you just stay and give me this one chance, I will love you like you deserve, I won’t ever forget it. Please don’t leave me.”
Cody’s expression softened as his eyes began to warm up. This was a dream come true. Everything he’d ever wanted was now right in front of him. Duncan had just poured his heart out right in front of him and confessed his deep-rooted love for him, while sporting the biggest dick he’d ever seen, by the way. There was something else about the situation that Cody had noticed. For the first time in his life, this submissive little twink bottom was getting a taste of power. Duncan threw the ball into his court and now it was Cody’s turn to throw. He figured that now that he had everything he’d ever wanted, he might as well get some enjoyment out of it. A smirk slid across his face as he spoke. “Hm, I don’t know, Duncan. I think you’re just so obsessed with me that I think we need space. I don’t want anything to change what we have.”
Cody could hardly get through his sarcasm without a giggle and blush on his face as he wrapped his arms around Duncan’s much thicker neck and pressed their lips together once again. Unbeknownst to both Duncan and Cody, Chase was taking deep inhales near Duncan’s armpits, trying to breathe as much of him in as possible before he got caught by Cody and awkwardly waved goodbye before picking up his rolled-up yoga mat and leaving.
“That was better than I ever dreamt it would be,” Cody spat out, starstruck after they finally broke the kiss again. “I’ve dreamed of those lips forever and that was even better than I’ve imagined, Cody.”
Duncan agreed with him and gave him a sweet smile. Despite now looking like an above-average bodybuilder, there was still a softness to Duncan. He was a jagged little puzzle piece covered in soft velvet. Cody gave him a wink, hitting on him. “If you think they’re good now just wait until you see what they can do later.”
Duncan softly placed his larger hand on Cody’s chest. He didn’t want to move things too fast now that everything was out in the open. “Look, Cody, I’ve… thought about that for a while too, but let’s take this slow. I don’t want to rush anything, plus look how big I am now. I could seriously hurt you if I’m not careful.”
Cody gave him a slow nod, upset but still understanding. Duncan waited twenty-five years to tell him he loved him, he should give him at least another day before he felt anywhere near ready to sleep with him. He pushed Duncan down onto the floor, although with his new, heavier body weight, it was easier said than done, and cuddled up next to him. Sure, they’ve cuddled quite a bit before. When the power was out and they needed warmth, when the roof over Cody’s bedroom was leaking, or just whenever Cody wanted to. Cuddling wasn’t unfamiliar to either of them, but it just felt so comfortable now as Duncan wrapped his thick arms around Cody’s waist and held him against his body. “Y’know, you’re my first boyfriend,” Duncan softly told him as he pressed a gentle kiss into his neck.
Cody with a snicker replied with a sarcastic, “Who said that I was your boyfriend?”
This earned him Duncan softly tugging on his hair. “You mean it? I’m the first… ever? I find that hard to believe.”
Cody’s questioning was sincere and without malice, but it caused a whimper to escape from Duncan’s lips. Duncan was usually open and transparent about his problems with Cody, but Cody always knew when not to pry and push too much on something that was clearly delicate subject matter to him, and the lack of boyfriends was definitely a wound that didn’t need scratched back open. Duncan would tell him when he was ready to. He knew about Duncan’s complicated relationship with his father and just assumed that the issues were related.
Despite his intrigue, Cody was honored to be Duncan’s first-ever boyfriend, and hopefully maybe even his only and final. Within the span of just a few hours, Cody went from devoted friend hopelessly in love with someone, to being ready to move out and leave Duncan behind, to getting a boyfriend. He was over the moon ecstatic, but then panic started to set in. What if this was just the sickness messing with Duncan’s mind some more, and once he recovered, things would be over just as quick as they were started? He must’ve been stirring quite a bit as Duncan noticed his discomfort almost immediately. “Cody, are you okay?”
Cody’s stirring became more noticeable as he was wrapping his mind around his thoughts. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Duncan gently let his fingers roam through Cody’s hair and scratch his scalp. “Please don’t lie to me.”
With a loud sigh escaping from his lips, Cody began to vent his fear to Duncan. “I’m just worried that it’s not you that wants me, it’s this sickness you caught. It’s changing your mind as well as your body. What if you get over it and you realize that you never wanted me to be your boyfriend, it just made you think you did?”
Of course, Duncan just wanted to tell him that he was crazy. Tell him how crazy he was being as he held him down and planted little butterfly kisses all over his beautiful body, but Duncan conceded that he had every right to be suspicious and careful with their new relationship. Before today, sure they’d done lots of things before that most couples normally do like kiss and cuddle and hug and all that stuff, but Duncan always made sure to clarify before that they were only friends, but now he was telling him how much he loved him and how he’d always loved him. He couldn’t expect Cody to just accept it at face value, Cody had a very inquisitive personality normally, so of course he’d be looking into everything now. Duncan tried to think of a way to prove himself to Cody for the time being, and eventually came to a conclusion. “Wait here.”
Duncan released Cody from his grip, causing him to whine and pout with big eyes like a puppy, and got up, walking down the hallway to his bedroom. The ground shaking with each step under his bigger feet and increased weight. With as naturally curious Cody is, Duncan was honestly amazed that he never worried about Cody sneaking into his room and snooping around while he was away whether it be at work or wherever else. He could trust him, and Cody was very mindful of that trust.
Rooting around on the shelf in his closet above all his hanging shirts, Duncan pulled out an old brown shoebox without any markings on it except ‘Duncan’s stuff (do not touch)’ written on it, and his face lit up like a Christmas tree in a rich man’s house as he nearly skipped back to Cody in the living room. Cody, sitting Indian style on the floor as he awaited Duncan’s return, was confused by the joyous look on Duncan’s face as he carried back the beaten-up box. “I understand your concern, but Cody, in here I think I have an answer that’ll help ease your mind, at least for now.”
Duncan sat on the floor in front of him, mimicking his stance as he sat, sitting the box between them and taking one of Cody’s soft hands in his. “What is in that thing?”
Duncan gave him a sweet smile and opened the box, revealing old pieces of notebook paper that had crudely been ripped from the spiral on the side. “This is all stuff from elementary and middle school. I’ve saved every letter you wrote me. From the moment I read them, I thought you were mine. I knew you were mine.”
As Duncan spoke to him and rifled through the box of old paper memories, Cody detected something else in his presentation. “Are you… quoting Hamilton to me? I thought you hated musical theatre? You didn’t like watching it with me.”
Duncan shrugged. “I may not like it, but when someone you love does, you pick up a few things.”
Duncan held up a piece of paper in his hand, reading it and then snickering a bit, confusing Cody. “What is it?”
Duncan handed him the piece of paper. It was a note Cody passed to him… God knew how many years ago now, with the question ‘Do you like me?’ written in black crayon above two boxes, one marked yes and another marked no. An X is marked in the ‘no’ box. Cody was visibly confused and speechless, not sure what was amusing to Duncan.
“You don’t remember that day? I’ll never forget it.”
He grabbed Cody and repositioned him so that Duncan was lying down with his torso upright with Cody’s head resting on his chest, lying on top of him as Duncan’s big arms held him tenderly. “It was fourth grade. You made me notes like these and slipped it to me before we went to lunch every single day. I usually always marked them yes because you were my friend, but one day I wanted to see what you’d do if I marked it no, so I did, and gave it back to you after lunch. You cried for like an hour and Miss Kipper couldn’t calm you down. When it was time for recess, you told me that you’d never bother me again with tears still in your eyes and your voice hoarse from so much crying. I told you that I was kidding and we spent the rest of recess together, me holding you just like I am now under the shade of the trees. It was one of the happiest days of my life.”
Cody looked up at him, invested, starting to remember the events that happened. “And after we came back inside, you told me that you’d never trick me again. Wow… how do you remember that?”
Duncan softly caressed Cody’s cheek with his thumb. “Cody, I didn’t have a great childhood. There weren’t many moments in my life that I’d like to remember, but every day that I was with you, they were perfect.”
He planted a soft kiss on Cody’s forehead before continuing. “I think if Gram could see us now, she’d be happy.”
Cody smiled up at him. “I miss her. When mom dropped me off for her to babysit me when she went away and I got to spend time with you… they were my favorite days. When she died, you promised me that we’d still do things together…”
Duncan sniffled a bit, enjoying spending the time reminiscing about the highlights of his childhood with Cody and his grandmother. “But dad would never allow it. I could only see you in school from then on. He ‘didn’t want his son to be friends with a faggot’ and told me to stay away from you, but I never would. I couldn’t. Gram… she loved you, you know. You were like a grandson to her.”
Cody could tell Duncan was getting emotional as the two reminisced about the past and moved to sit in Duncan’s lap, ignoring that he was essentially naked, and brought their faces together. “Duncan… I’m here for you.”
Duncan gave him a soft smile while Cody wiped away one of his tears. “It wasn’t long after that when dad finally got his wish and we were separated… I’ll never forgive that man.”
Cody held his head in his hands as Duncan cried, trying to calm him but also letting him express his emotions. “Duncan, it’s all in the past. We’re here now… together. We made it out alive. Everything you’ve gone through made you stronger. Look at you, look at how far you’ve come. You’re the strongest person I know.”
Duncan began to weep into Cody’s soft touch. “I promised you that we’d still spend time together, and he sent me away soon after. To that camp and he pulled me out of school… They broke me at that camp… they turned me into a zombie and told me that everything about me was wrong and I was corrupted by Satan and evil… When they sent me home, he’d hit me if I ever showed any sign of weakness… if I ever showed signs of becoming who I used to be…”
Cody held him, trying to comfort him to the best of his ability. “When you say camp… do you mean he sent you to… y’know?”
Duncan nodded. “It was one of those crazy religious cult conversion camps, yeah. They broke me down and manipulated me for a while, but they could never made me obey my dad. They’d never make me respect him. When they finally released me, I played obedient for a while, about longer than a year. I’ll never forget the horror on his face when I came home with my first tattoo. He beat me so bad that night, but it was worth it. I hoped that when that needle pierced my skin, it stabbed him in the heart, and every single one after drove that knife deeper. No matter how hard he tried, he would never break my spirit. My soul was too strong for him to force into slavery.”
Cody watched the smirk form across Duncan’s face as he remembered sticking it to his dad, but made a connection that was hard to sit with. “Wait… were you sent to that place… because of me? Oh my god…”
Duncan put his hand on Cody’s thigh. “No, it wasn’t you. Well, you being so comfortable about yourself and knowing who you are and that you were gay since you were little didn’t help, but it wasn’t because of you. That summer after eighth grade, there was a boy sort of like you on my soccer team. Devin. He wasn’t very good at it, and I think his parents only signed him up to play just to toughen him up because he’d have a hard time in life. He was just out and proud since he was little too, and I was sort of curious about the idea of liking boys. I wasn’t really into him, but something about him made me feel the way I did with you.”
He smiled. “He made me feel safe and comfortable. He understood what I was feeling. We thought nobody could see us behind the cars… we kissed to see if I liked it and my dad saw us. He beat the hell out of me in front of everybody and nobody interfered. They just let him beat me. He threw me in the car and took me home right after. He didn’t speak to me the whole ride home and locked me in my room until the next morning without and dinner. The next morning… he told me that I was his greatest disappointment and he had some guy I’d never seen before in the kitchen with him. He made me give him my phone and my laptop. That strange guy… he made me leave with him.”
Cody did his best to wrap his arms around Duncan’s waist, holding him as he cried through his painful memories. Now it all made sense. Duncan never had a boyfriend because he was taught to hate himself and who he was by his father and religious nutcases who told him he was evil. The one time he explored that side of himself, he was punished so cruelly. He’d always asked Duncan before about why he didn’t go to high school with him, but he always just brushed it off, but now he knew the truth. Duncan was sent away to a conversion therapy camp and was homeschooled afterward. Despite their greatest attempts, Duncan survived the brainwashing and found his way back to Cody. Cody could remember the day he finally saw Duncan for the first time after four years… it was as if no time had passed at all. They were still just as close as ever. Starting to think through their memories, it started to click for Cody that Duncan was telling the truth. He’d been in love with Cody all these years and was too afraid to ever make a move on him because he was conditioned to repress himself and hate who he was.
With a sharp exhale, Duncan wrapped his arms around Cody again, holding him close. “Please just don’t ever doubt that I love you, okay?”
Cody laid his head back down on Duncan’s overinflated chest like pillows. “I love you, too.”

Duncan had awoken on the floor of the living room with his arms around Cody, who was still sound asleep on top of him. He smiled seeing how adorable his boyfriend was clinging onto his body with the only sounds in the world right now are the ticking of his grandmother’s clock, whatever the hell Paramount Plus put on after they fell asleep while watching Pearl, and Cody’s soft and delicate snores. Life was good.
Duncan sat up, just enough to not disturb his sleeping boyfriend and noticed the starry night sky in the sliver of the curtains Cody always insisted he kept open, it was ‘more natural,’ so he claimed. Figuring that it must have been late, the pro bodybuilder-sized Duncan had no issue lifting his small, fragile boyfriend up from on top of him and transporting him bridal style as he walked down the hallway to his bedroom. He made sure to walk as softly and slowly as possible to ensure that Cody wouldn’t wake up and the tremors under his weight wouldn’t vigorously shake the house. Opening the door, he cautiously walked over to his king sized bed and gently sat Cody down on the left side. Before getting into bed with him, Duncan carelessly grabbed and shimmied his way into a pair of briefs that used to be too loose, but now were far too tight as his thighs, ass, balls, and cock all fought against the tiny fabric for dominance. With a few grunts and tears, nevertheless, he persisted and eventually got the waistband to snap into place around his hips.
Climbing into bed next to his new boyfriend and roommate, Duncan carefully reached over his sleeping body, grabbed the tiny remote for his Roku TV, and put something relaxing that he and Cody both enjoyed, so that way, if Cody woke up, he would feel comfortable next to him. The Golden Girls—always a safe bet. As the soft piano music followed by a female voice singing the theme song began to come to life, Duncan wrapped his arms around Cody once more, holding him just tight enough to hold him closely and spoon him. There wasn’t much choice now, Duncan had to be the big spoon, but judging by how Cody’s been begging to get topped by him practically their entire adult lives, he didn’t think it would pose much of an issue or even a complaint from Cody.
As he held him close and felt the slight movements of Cody’s chest rising and falling with each of his little breaths, a smile crept onto Duncan’s face as he began to remember a memory from his childhood. It was if an old movie reel was playing in front of his eyes from the projector in his brain.
Sitting alone on a bench outside during lunch, a small, thin little boy with his short black hair styled in a buzz cut look depressed as he looked at everyone else eating lunch. His dad had forgotten to pack him a lunch before he left for work and Duncan didn’t have time to make himself anything before the school bus pulled up and he went to preschool. It was a sunny day and the bright blue sky was filled with singing birds and soft white, wispy clouds that looked like cotton candy that seemed to exist just to taunt the hungry little boy. He was used to sitting alone during lunch, the other kids didn’t really take to him because he looked like a walking skeleton with slight traces of hair and skin. At first, he tried to make friends, but eventually, he gave up and preferred to sit alone and work by himself instead of with others on class projects. It was easier to pretend he wanted to be alone than it was to get bullied by kids who were scared of his appearance.
Today seemed to be a particularly bright and warm sunny spring day that mocked the gloomy boy sitting all alone on the bench, but it was as if a ray of light from heaven itself called down to Duncan as an acorn flew by in the breeze to catch his attention and turn to another small boy walking up to him bathed in a ray of golden sunlight. The little boy was shorter than Duncan, but he was a little thicker. He hadn’t lost his baby weight and he had chubby cheeks, but to say that he was fat was just unfair. He had short brown hair and a permanent smile. He was a healthy boy, and this particular boy was popular with all the other kids. Duncan just assumed that he was coming over to him to continue the daily mocking so he and his friends could have a laugh at his expense, but there were no words spoken for a minute.
After a while, the boy finally asked him a question. “How’s come you’re sitting all alone?”
Duncan just shrugged. “I just like to be by myself.”
The boy opened up the brown paper bag he was carrying with him and pulled out a wrapped sandwich on bread that was cut into the shape of a dinosaur with all the crust cut off. Duncan, a bit envious as he watched the other boy unwrap his perfectly tailored sandwich, put a hand over his stomach as it growled from his hunger. The other boy noticed his stare and turned to him. “my mom always makes me the best peanut butter, jelly, and banana sandwiches. Why aren’t you eating?”
Duncan just looked at him with a blank expression. “My dad forgot to pack my lunch again and I didn’t have time to make it before I caught the bus.”
The other boy looked sad as he heard his story, then ripped his sandwich in half, extending the half with the tail out to Duncan. “Here, you can have some of mine!”
Duncan just shook his head. “That’s okay, my Gram’s gonna pick me up today and she always gives me a lot to eat before my dad gets off of work and picks me up from her house.”
The other boy was persistent. “But we don’t get picked up for such a long time. You’re hungry, go ahead!”
Duncan was very reluctant, but he took the tail half of the dinosaur peanut butter-jelly-banana sandwich from the other boy, who gave him a sweet smile. “I’d hate to take your food. What if you get hungry later?” Duncan asked, concerned for the other boy.
The brown-haired boy simply shook his head before responding, “That’s okay! I never really finish them. I only ever eat half, besides, my favorite part is biting the head off the dinosaur. Besides, that’s what friends do!”
Duncan just nodded before hungrily eating the half of the sandwich the other boy gave him. His mouth was sticky, but he managed to muster out a solemn “…thank you” to the popular boy. The boy gave him a charming smile. “no problem! We’re friends, right? My name is Cody.”
Duncan, a bit taken aback from someone trying to be his friend. He spit out a slow “my name is Duncan,” as he looked away from Cody’s big brown eyes. Cody reached over and put a hand on Duncan’s thin shoulder. “My mom got me the new DS, do you wanna play Mario Kart? I really like Peach, she’s really cool.”
Duncan turned back to look at him, visibly confused in his silence. “What, you’ve never heard of Mario Kart? Or the DS?”
Duncan just shook his head no, unable to decode the gibberish Cody was speaking at him. “Well, what do you do for fun?”
Duncan looked embarrassed as he answered, “Well I like to draw.”
Cody gave him a sweet smile. “What do you like to draw?”
Duncan just shrugged again. “Whatever I just feel like, I guess.”
Cody put his hand on Duncan’s. “I’d like to see your drawings, I bet you’re really good!”
Duncan just shook his head no as tears welled up into his eyes. “What’s wrong, Duncan?”
Duncan wiped a tear from his eye. “It’s just that my dad thinks drawing is for girls and I’m wasting my time. He said that a boy should be outside and getting dirty.”
Cody just shrugged. “I don’t really like getting dirty. I like staying inside and playing video games.”
Duncan smiled a bit from hearing Cody agreeing with him somewhat.
For the rest of the day, Duncan and Cody worked together until it was time to go home. As always, Duncan was the first one dismissed as a woman came to the entrance. She wore a floral print dress that reached her ankles and black flat shoes. Her blue eyes were covered by the black-rimmed glasses on her wrinkled face with her pale pink lips in a smile as she spotted her grandson. “Duncan, there you are! It’s time to go!”
Duncan ran over to his grandmother and hugged her, excitedly bouncing around. “Gram! Gram! Guess what!”
She picked her grandson up in her arms and carried him. “What’s that, Duncy?”
Duncan was excited with an irrepressible smile. “I made a friend today!”
His grandmother’s smile grew wider as she heard the joyous news. She was familiar with Duncan’s behavior where he’d seclude himself from everyone around him. His sister was already grown up and moved out, so it was just him and… her son, so she was pretty much his only friend, until today, that is. “That’s wonderful, Duncan! Maybe one day you can have them come over! For now, let’s get you some McDonald’s and then we can play at Gram’s… until it’s time for your father to pick you up.”
Her voice was heavy as she spoke of her son, Duncan’s father. Truth be told, if she had the resources, she’d have sued her son for Duncan’s full custody and completely disown him. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t something she could afford, so she had to settle for being his primary caregiver until his father came home to pick him up and take him home for the night until it was time to pick Duncan up from preschool again the next day.
Once the two were back at her house, Duncan was happy to watch some tv with her as The Golden Girls season one VHS tape was in the player. Duncan always giggled when he saw Betty White for the first time. “Look Gram! She has white hair like you!”
She’d then always tickle his sides while he squirmed around and gave him a playful, “every white hair on this head is because of you, you little monster.”
He’d always squeal with laughter as she tickled him. On this particular day, the doorbell rang unexpectedly early. A frown quickly came over Duncan’s lips as his grandmother moved towards the door. “Oh, Duncan, I completely forgot.”
She quickly moved towards the door as a frightened Duncan got up and hid behind her legs, expecting it to be his father picking him up early.
“Hi Becky!” His grandmother answered as she opened the door. Peaking out from behind her unnoticed, Duncan observed the strange woman his grandmother was talking to, unable to place her, but something about her face was very familiar. As if he’d seen it somewhere before. “Hi Deb!” The woman happily exclaimed. His grandmother seemed to know this woman, but he didn’t, so Duncan continued to hide behind his grandmother. “Thanks for doing this for me. Ray and I haven’t been able to get out for a while, so we really appreciate this.”
the strange woman spoke to his grandmother as if they were old friends. How could that be? This woman looked to be as old as the pictures he sees of his mother and Gram was ancient! “Just let the little dear in. Don’t you worry about a thing. He won’t be alone, Duncan is here, so he will have someone to play with until you come to pick him up,” his grandmother answered. Someone else was coming and they were going to stay with him and Gram? What if she doesn’t have time to play with him anymore?
“I don’t think there’s much chance of that. Cody isn’t really all that social. He even takes his video games with him to preschool.”
What a coincidence, Duncan just made friends a Cody today that liked to play video games. “Come on, Cody. This nice lady is going to take care of you while mommy and daddy go out for a little while. We’ll be back to pick you up soon, so don’t worry! Mommy and daddy love you very much!”
Duncan could hear as this loving mother planted a kiss on this Cody person’s cheek and the door shutting. His grandmother crouched down to Cody’s height and put her hand softly on his head, messing up his brown hair. “It’s nice to meet you, Cody. I’m Duncan’s grandmother. You know, I used to babysit your mother when she was your age, and you look just like her.”
Cody was silent at first, he wasn’t used to strange people. He was silent for the first couple of weeks of preschool, but once he got to know all the students, he became a social butterfly. “You must be shy, but don’t worry, there’s someone here that you know. Come on out, Duncan.”
Duncan peaked out slowly from behind his grandmother’s legs, frightened. When he saw Cody, he practically leaped towards him with a bright smile on his face that caused Cody’s smile to beam like the sun earlier in the day. “Cody! Gram, look! It’s my friend! It’s Cody!”
He grabbed onto Cody’s waist, jumping up and down, excited and giddy. This was very strange for Cody, he’d only seen Duncan from afar until today, so he’d only ever seen him sitting quietly by himself and looking sad. This was different, but it was nice. “Duncan!” Cody was happy to see a familiar face that wasn’t one of his parents and he hugged him, as Duncan’s grandmother gave them a warm smile. “This is so sweet.”
For the next couple hours, Duncan and Cody were chasing each other back and forth throughout his grandmother’s house and playing made up games and taking turns on Cody’s DS as he showed Duncan how to play the games. After a while, the two were starting to get tuckered out from all the playing and laughter and running, and so Duncan’s grandmother decided that it was time for a nap. Grabbing the boys each a soft, velvety blanket, Duncan purple and Cody green. For herself, a gray comforter as all three climbed onto the big couch to take a nap. Instead of taking up two different spots on the couch, Duncan and Cody decided to just share Duncan’s purple blanket and a pillow. Duncan was more than happy to share, remembering Cody was kind enough to share his lunch with him when he was hungry.
Duncan laughed as he put the blanket over himself and Cody. “This was the best day of my life.”
Cody gave him a sweet smile and then yawned. “Yeah, mine too.”
Cody then fell asleep almost immediately with Duncan not soon after. After some time, it was the evening. Duncan’s grandmother, as she had woken up from her nap earlier, took a picture of the scene in front of her. In their sleep, Duncan had his arms wrapped around Cody and was holding him softly. With gentle head scratches, she then woke the boys up. It was time for Cody to go. His parents were in their big red car outside waiting for him.
“Cody, sweetie, your parents are here to pick you up. I told them that you were the perfect little angel and that it was an honor getting to watch you. She said that since you had such a great time, you’ll be coming over once a week!”
Duncan’s grandmother softly spoke to the boys, who were disappointed that Cody had to leave. Duncan’s big eyes started to water as he pouted. “Does he really have to go?”
His grandmother nodded. “I’m afraid so, honey, but don’t worry. You’ll see him in school tomorrow and he’ll be back here next week!”
That was enough to cheer the two up as the boys gave each other a hug goodbye. As Cody walked out the door, Duncan’s grandmother watched cautiously out the window until she was sure that he was safe in his parent’s car and it pulled away.
She then moved back to her couch, picking Duncan up and sitting him on her lap. “you like him a lot, don’t you, Duncy?”
Duncan nodded happily. “It does my heart good to see you starting to come out of your shell. Cody seems to like you, too. Listen, Duncan, sometimes people are going to give you a hard time because of who you are, but don’t ever let them break you. Stick with Cody, he’s good for you.”
She gave him a loving pat on the head as he stretched with a yawn, still tired after having been woken up. Then, without so much as a knock, the front door aggressively flung open. “All right ma, I’m here for the boy.”
Duncan’s father was here to pick him up. “All right, he’s in here.”
Duncan looked at his grandmother with a sad look, not wanting to leave her side and especially not wanting to go home with his father. “What was with that car that just left?” he asked, his voice filled with disgust. “Oh, just a woman I used to babysit. She asked me to watch her son while she went on a date with her husband,” she answered, Duncan’s father was big and domineering, but she didn’t fear him and the cool softness of her voice never faltered. “A date? Heh, some people get to live it up. So what’s up, your grandson isn’t good enough to watch alone anymore? Gotta get some stranger’s kids?”
He was an asshole, even at an early age, Duncan vowed that he’d never turn out like him. “Come now, Rob. It was a favor for an old friend and the kid is in Duncan’s class. To tell you the truth, I think he enjoys his company. He really liked having someone to play with.”
Duncan’s grandmother was always so insightful and she had her grandson’s best interests in mind.
“He better not enjoy his company. No son of mine is going to be a fag. You’re not going to turn him into some sissy. Duncan, let’s go. Now!”
Duncan’s father demanded that he leave, and with a teary goodbye, he hugged his grandmother and slowly got into the front passenger his father’s beat-up black pickup truck. “Quit that crying, Nancy!”
Duncan’s father had backhanded him across the face, leaving a bright red handprint on his cheek.
Once the memory stopped playing in his mind, Duncan held tightly onto Cody and pulled him closer, planting a soft kiss on his cheek. “You mean the world to me,” he whispered into Cody’s ear as he held onto him. He looked over at the picture that sat in the white metal frame on his end stand to the left of his bed. It was the picture his grandmother had taken of the two when they were small children with Duncan holding Cody the same way he was now. A single tear streamed down his face as he smiled at the picture and then up at the ceiling, as if he were making eye contact with his grandmother.
Feeling a drop of moisture hit his forehead, Cody’s eyes flickered open and he looked up. He was familiar with his surroundings. He’d been in Duncan’s room many times before and they’ve cuddled in his king-sized bed many times before, but this time felt different. He looked over to the hulking bodybuilder arms that held onto him as he heard sniffling. “Duncy?”
Cody looked up at him, watching as tears dripped down from Duncan’s face as he stared up at the ceiling while holding onto his boyfriend. Cody then moved to sit up, placing his head on Duncan’s thick, broad shoulder. “Are you okay?”
Duncan gave him a smile as he wiped some of his tears away. “Oh, you’re up. Yeah, I’m okay. I was just thinking about something. Go back to sleep, I didn’t mean to wake you.”
Cody wiped some of the tears away from Duncan’s face. “I’m glad I’m awake. What’s bothering you?”
Duncan shook his head. “Nothing’s bothering me? Why do you ask?”
His soft baritone voice was a little rough and hoarse from crying. Cody crossed his arms, playfully mad. “This is the second time you’re crying in one day. I’m not an idiot, Duncan.”
Duncan playfully rolled his red eyes and wrapped one arm around Cody’s back, holding him closer, while his other arm grabbed the picture frame from the end stand and showed it to Cody. “What’s that? Is that us?” Cody asked, putting his head back on Duncan’s shoulder. “Yeah, this was from the first day that we actually met. When you shared your sandwich with me and later that day, your mom dropped you off at Gram’s to watch while they went out. We played all day and you showed me how to play video games. Then when we took a nap, I held you like I do now.”
Cody looked up at him with a smile plastered across his face. “You saved that through all these years?”
Duncan sat the picture down and then placed his other arm around Cody, once again holding him like the little spoon. “Some memories are worth keeping forever. Besides, Gram took this picture. I think she was onto something before even we were. She’s definitely smiling down on us right now if there’s a heaven.”
Cody lifted his head up and pressed a kiss onto Duncan’s jaw. “And if there isn’t, maybe heaven is the good times we have now to live in the moment. Heaven is right here with you.”
Duncan let his head rest over Cody’s, his hands gently caressing his skin. “Cody, you’re the greatest.”
