For this week’s installment of “Twinning” I fully intended to get the guys out of the house and roaming that day festival the next town over, but the story totally side-tracked me with a completely different subplot. Writers may have things in mind for what they want to do, but sometimes the characters assert themselves and take over the narrative. (Hmm, now that’s an interesting idea for a story. A little like “Duck Amuck”, but with smutty metaboys and wry creator-characters shenanigans. There are some stories on the site that tend in that direction; "Jake: The Hand-Drawn Giant" comes to mind. But a site called Metabods really ought to have a fun, “meta” story where the characters put one over on the author and vice versa, right?)

Meanwhile, “You and I”, as you can probably tell, is a story sketch based on the same long-ago series of chats as the previous chapters. I found it and fleshed it out (so to speak) when I realized I wouldn’t have time to properly finish the latest chapter of the werebear story, “Love/Shift”, planned for today. That will be in the next update instead.
