Friday Flashback: September 2017

For this lark into the leviathanic loot left by our legendary and lascivious lust-laborers, I’ve collected ten lovely postings from September of 2017. Lots of interesting stuff going on that month, and I’m confident you’ll find something to enjoy. As you browse be sure to help others will find the stories you think are worth finding by commenting and upvoting the stories you like. If you have any stories that you want to contribute and maybe have commemorated four years from now in a post just like this one, by all means drop me a line.

The next update is tomorrow, 4 September. In the meantime, have fun exploring the archives, and thanks for visiting.

This week’s flashback:

  • BodyReverence by BRK  App Cock XCock MuscUp Musc   Kevin finds out about an app that allows its subscribers to touch its handsome, muscular models with a new kind of virtual technology. His buddies are psyched to get in on the touching… but Kevin, who’s been getting more and more admiration for his looks and the body he’s sculpted for himself, realizes he wants to be appreciated with more than just yearning gazes and salacious comments. He wants to be touched.
  • Johnny Pecs by BRK  CockUp Cock Musc Tf   Unexpectedly inheriting part of an island estate off the coast of Maine, Kent travels there to assess his options. On arriving in Glen Rush, he meets the young caretaker—a handsome stunner who’s acquired, with some justification, the nickname “Johnny Pecs”.
  • Joined by BRK  CockUp XDig Taller Cock Merg XCock XHead XTongue XTorso MuscUp Musc Nonc Rep SizeUp   Dylan wakes up kissing an incredibly beautiful man he’s never met before, and finds that he’s more connected to this man than any lover he’s ever had.
  • All good things, Part 64 by Anon Amon  Bro CockUp CumInf Balls Cock HyCock HyCum Immob Inc Infect MuscUp Musc NipCum 2Gay Twins   Michael finally reveals himself, having attained Level 5 and more hungry than ever to grow huge—and for his best friend to grow with him.
  • But I will do anything by WordShop  CockUp Hairier Balls HyCock Immob MuscUp Musc   Twenty-two-year-old Carlos is handsome, charming, and a great looker, but with self-doubts over a lithe lean body when he always wanted muscle. So he places an ad in a personals column looking for the trainer who could mold him. Be careful what you wish for…
  • Sean goes to prison, Part 7 by Joven  CockUp CumMilking Balls Cock MuscUp Nonc Bond SizeUp 2Gay   His balls now far bigger than anyone else’s, Sean deals with the attention he’s getting from the other boys, especially his new milker. Then comes the mandatory workouts that are the direct result of the warden’s new interest in him. Fortunately, there’s a hot tub to sink into in afterwards, and a hot fellow prisoner eager to help him relax.
  • Spare by Double-U  Suit MuscUp Musc   Dan, a muscular football jock, attempts to recruit his friend, Tom, for a football tournament after his team ends up short a man. When Tom declines, pleading a lack of skill and stamina, Dan offers Tom something that he ultimately can’t refuse.
  • 1313 Raven Lane (revised) by WordShop  CockUp Hairier Ghost Hallow Cock MuscUp Musc Nonc SizeUp   Two young guys find themselves in trouble on Halloween night after a party. They hide in an old house with the reputation of being haunted. We don’t believe in haunted houses, now do we?
  • The transform center, Part 6 by Zboro  Scaly Dragon Fly Cock 2Animal HyCock XBalls XArms XCock XLimb Musc Rep 6Legs Tf DeeperVoice Wings   As Seb enters the fifth room, everything builds to a climax—in the room and in the secret control center as well—as Seb finally learns the secret of the Transform Center.

Weekly Update: 28 August 2021

This week, my contribution is a large direct commission called “The training program,” in which a group of elite law-enforcement officers are recruited for a highly selective three-week skill-enhancement regime that’s not what it seems to be. Hope you like it! Direct commissions sometimes take me into a bit of uncharted territory for me, and this time I really enjoyed the synergy of fleshing out fantasies that aren’t my own.

There’s a lot of other great new stories in the contributions this week from authors both trusty and new, and several of those on the longer side as well, so check those out too. Please remember to upvote and comment on the stories you like—it makes a difference to authors wanting to know what works. If you have a story of your own, you can submit it here.

The Friday Flashback this week collected stories with a bit of stretchiness in them, so pop back to that if you missed it. The next update is a week hence, on 3 September. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site!

Friday Flashback: It’s a Stretch

For this week’s tramp through our tracts of truly tremendous transformations, I’ve collected a few stories that involve a bit of stretchiness. Hope you like.

The next update is tomorrow, 28 August. In the meantime, have fun exploring the archives, and thanks for visiting.

Weekly Update: 21 August 2021

For this update, I continue the Patreon-commissioned story “The Expedition”, with Jude, Martin, and Gary falling deeper into their encounter with ancient, animated forces on a forgotten Aegean Island. I’d also like to take this opportunity to call for stories from all my readers and visitors. If you’ve got a tale of hot guys getting hotter, or who start out sexier in all the ways that make men sexy, I’d love for you to generously share it with me and your fellow fans of fabulously fuckable fellows.

As previously tweeted, my big project last weekend was to rewrite the code and interface for the search page essentially from scratch. The old search page had been bogging down in recent weeks, and the best approach seemed to be to write cleaner, less-complicated code. There’s more work to be done, but performance is definitely several notches better, and new sorting and filtering options have been added that you may find useful.—That very necessary work on the search page did mean that I fell behind on tag suggestions despite promising not to, but I did create a new page showing the tag suggestion queue so suggesters can see that their contribution is pending and has not been summarily ignored.

The Friday Flashback this week was a tribute to bulging biceps, so that (and the Friday Flashboy who inspired it) are worth checking out if you haven’t already. The next update is a week hence, 28 August. In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and enjoy the site.

This week’s new stuff:

Friday Flashback: Bulging Biceps

Sometimes with the Flashbacks, the cover image is not related to the story theme or detail I end up spotlighting that week. (When I did “multiple hyperwangs”, for example, I didn’t then start looking for a model who looked like he possessed such attributes. I might have, but the cover images show up on various platforms, some of which are G-rated, so I have to keep them reasonably tame. Plus, it’s more fun to imagine the guy in question has ’em but you can’t see ’em.) Other times I set up the story list and then go back and find a matching image. (With “gone clubbin’”, for example, I did the list and then went and snagged a hot-looking dancin’ boi. The Canadian-flag tee-shirt for “O Canada” was a fudge—I added it in Photoshop, in emulation of the real American-flag-tee-wearing model I’d used for the Fourth of July weekend post.) This week, the model inspired the Flashback: I did the cover image first, then looked at those arms and thought, damn, this week’s Flashback has got to be “bulging biceps”. One trip to the revamped search page later, I had a collection of resurfaceable stories that just happen to feature guys with big, beautiful guns (among other intriguing attributes). Hope you like.

The next update is tomorrow, 21 August. In the meantime, have fun exploring the archives, and thanks for visiting.

This week’s flashback:

Weekly Update: 14 August 2021

Some of you may have seen this coming. Last week, I observed in passing that I was only just over eight thousand words shy of hitting the frickin’ two million mark for everything I’ve ever posted on the site as BRK. And, of course, I just couldn’t restrain myself from smacking that carnival strongman bell with my big mallet at the earliest possible moment. My usual goal is five thousand words per update, but this week I just happened to write not one but two chapters of my Patreoncommissioned story, “Resolutions”, together totaling just over 9,200 words and nudging me solidly past a pretty staggering milestone. Not that all of those words are great by any means, but even taking Sturgeon’s Revelation into account there’s still got to be at least a couple hundred thousand words in the pile that I can feel reasonably proud of. (Unless you read Sturgeon as asserting that 90 percent of authors are crap, in which case there’s no doubt I belong with the rest of the fertilizer.) Either way, writing for Metabods means a lot to me and has given me incomparable joy over the years, and I’m happy to have the excuse to thank my past self for putting in all that work—and to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the people who’ve enjoyed my stories with me, then and now.

Lots more this week, too, including the conclusion to “The Ixlutani” and a savory mix of continuations and new beginnings. Hope you find something you appreciate, and remember to comment and upvote the stories you like so that authors know what works.

This week’s Friday Flashback collected stories set wholly or partially in Canada, and it’s not all werewolves and lumberjacks, I promise. Deep thanks to my Patreon supporters; if you’re interested in potentially joining the BRK Patreonite gang, here’s the link. The next update is a week hence, 21 August. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and enjoy the site.

This week’s new stuff:

Friday Flashback: O Canada

For this week’s expedition back through the site’s extremely exotic exhibitions of fantastic fables, I’ve collected ten stories that are set wholly or partially in the estimable nation of Canada, famous throughout the world as the nicer version of the U.S. Yes, the great white north, the land of Mounties, moose, wolverines, and a lot of actors Americans always forget are Canadian. Hope you enjoy.

The next update is tomorrow, 14 August. Have fun exploring, and thanks for visiting!

This week’s flashback:

Weekly Update: 7 August 2021

Happy Vignette Party! This time around I have four, count ‘em, four stories, three suggested by my beloved and worthy Patreonites and an extra one just for fun because I could not stop writing this week. All three of the suggested stories are long, too, though I did at least make sure that they conform to my new, ideovocabulary definition of “vignette”—i.e., “restricted to one scene.” (Included was an unintended experiment: I didn’t quite grok how seldom I write in first-person present-tense until I decided to do “The Deputy” in that mode. Hopefully I caught all of my accidental slips into the past tense, but probably not.) Total output from me this week: 11 thousand words. Crazy enough, but that also means that as of this week I’m somehow just over 8 thousand words away from hitting two million words as BRK. All that’s on top of a big spread of juicy contributions spanning all sorts of interests. You’ll find something you like in this week’s passel or my name isn’t BRK. (Which it isn’t, true, but I still think you’ll find something you’ll like.)

Site features update: Two minor coding tweaks this week I’d been meaning to get to. The first is that I finally adjusted the code for the menubar search box and for search page to equalize accented and nonaccented letters, so that if you look for (say) Ramon you’ll get hits for Ramon and for Ramón (and, also, the Ramones); and similarly vice versa. (The real underlying problem here was that the text and titles for the stories in the site database use HTML escape characters. As the search code stood before, that meant that in the case of an accented name in the text or title (e.g., Ramón), neither Ramon nor Ramón was matching the actual contents of the database, which would be the escape-coded version, Ram& oacute;n. That bug should now be removed. I don’t know why I didn’t fix this years ago, but the sad fact is that it accurately exposes me as your typical ethnomyopic American, if you didn’t know that about me already.) — The second site tweak is that, with the numbers of stories I have now on the site leading to increasing proliferation of similar or duplicate story titles, I’ve added an automated note at the top of stories with similar names (such as, for example, “The Awakening” by musc4life, “The Awakening” by Johnny M, and “Awakening” by BRK) that the reader might be looking for one of the other comparably-monikered tales. Mind you, this automation is based on PHP’s consonant-weighted estimates of similarity in sound, so there will the occasional ludicrous result (e.g., the code thinking “Legacy” sounds like it’s a letter or less off from “Lucas”). If you come across a suggestion like that, just take it as your dose of wacky AI comedy for the day and move on.

The Friday Flashback this week reverted back to August of 2017 (and mentioned a few aspects of what life was like in that bygone age), so check that out if you missed it. The next update will be a week hence, 14 August. In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and enjoy the site.

Friday Flashback: August 2017

For this week’s wayback-wend we’re cruising back to August 2017, home to a rare total solar eclipse, the conviction of “pharmabro” Martin Shkreli, and the discovery that Neanderthals invented glue. Enjoy your trip, and keep your hands inside the vehicle at all times.

The next update—a Vignette Party—is tomorrow, 7 August. In the meantime, have fun exploring the archives and thanks for visiting.

This week’s flashback:

The next Vignette Party is… now!

The next update, on 7 August, will be another Vignette Party where suggestion-level Patreonites get to prompt one-scene stories from me on the topics of their choosing. If you’re a patron at that level, DM me your prompts so I can make your story real—and if you’re not a patron, there’s still time to get in on the act. See you there!
