For this week’s sojourn through the site’s collective subconscious, I’ve collected a set of stories that touch on Pride and related phenomena like Pride parades and rainbow flags. I’ll grant you that some of these involve Pride being integral to the story, while others are brief, tangential mentions or metaphors. Sometimes Pride itself is like that: we can be caught up in it some years, and other times we’re just happy to know it exists in the background. (Did I just invoke a schmalzy real-world analogy to paper over the unevenness of my Friday Flashback Pride collection? You bet!) Anyway, as a proud gay man I extend my honest gratitude to the folks who fought back at Stonewall and everywhere else, and I wish you all a happy and proud LGBTQ+ness or Proud Ally-ness.
